Meet your 2025 Cattle Baron’s Chairs!
Stephanie Maultsby and William Cummings.
Cancer touches every one of us—whether through family, friends, or personal experience—and it is a fight that impacts countless lives. The Central Texas Cattle Baron’s Ball is dedicated to the memory of those we have loved and lost to cancer, and in support of those who are bravely fighting this devastating disease. Stephanie’s grandmother was diagnosed and passed from cancer in 1936, she lost her grandfather to pancreatic cancer in 1968, and most recently lost her mother to pancreatic cancer in 2019. Will’s aunt passed from breast cancer in 2001, he lost his mother to pancreatic cancer in 2024, and currently has a surrogate mother fighting Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Stephanie and Will are therefore dedicating this year’s ball to all the mothers in our lives who continue to shape and guide us.
In honor of the incredible individuals who have faced this battle, we come together to raise awareness, offer support, and fund the critical research that can one day bring us closer to a cure. Every donation, every word of encouragement, and every act of support helps strengthen our collective resolve to end this terrible disease.
The Central Texas Cattle Baron’s Ball is not only a tribute to those we have lost, but also a powerful symbol of hope for those currently fighting. We stand united in the belief that together, we can make a difference in the lives of patients, survivors, and their families. The dollars given at events like the Central Texas Cattle Baron’s Ball will go to fund grants to local cancer treatment centers such as Texas Oncology or McClinton Cancer Center to help off-set costs to provide gas cards for patients undergoing treatment. It also helps to fund free lodging for patients and their caregiver at Hope Lodges located all over the United States with four lodges within the Great State of Texas.
Stephanie and Will are honored to be your 2025 Chairs of The Central Texas Cattle Baron’s Ball. Will’s family has been in Central Texas for generations, and Stephanie has been here and now raising her family here for over 20 years and is proud to call Waco home. We are deeply grateful for the generosity of our sponsors, participants, and all those who contribute to this important cause. Your support is not just an investment in research and care—it is a testament to the enduring power of love, community, and resilience that Central Texas has demonstrated time and time again.
In 2025 We’re Comin’ for a Cure and we want you to come too! Our goal is $600,000 and we hope you can help us not only meet but exceed it!
